ACCOMPLISHMENTS LIST

2010-2014

Richcraft Sensplex: A premier 157,000-square-foot indoor sports complex at 813 Shefford Rd. It features four ice rinks and serves as a major community hub. It offers free public skating, elite youth hockey developments, fitness classes, meeting rooms and lounges, a fully licensed restaurant and more;
Major road resurfacing at Stonehenge Crescent, La Vérendrye Drive, Ogilvie Road, just to name a few;
Blair Road crosswalk light;
Had Blair and Cyrville roads added to future Transportation Master Plan (TMP);
Opened first ever Ward office at the Earl Armstrong Arena at 2020 Ogilvie Rd.;
Established communications plan that sees regular emails and mailings three to four times a year, as well as regular and consistent communication through social media channels like Facebook, X and Instagram.

2014-2018

A Multi Use Pathway along Shefford Road that makes it safer to walk and for bike deliveries;
Cyrville Road Multi Use Pathway;
Ogilvie Road Multi Use Path with benches;
Blair Road Speed reduction to 50 kms and bollards at in Pineview;
Major renovations of the Pat Clark Community Centre (formerly Cyrville community centre). This is a big win for seniors and the community;
Established Vision Jasmine that sees more community connectivity. This includes events, more programming in the community and infrastructure, including rink boards and nets in the park;
Major road resurfacing at Eastvale Drive, Beaverbrook Drive, Casey Drive and more;
Community splash pad at Loyola Park pad that serves 600 condos in the community;
Assisted in the revival of the Beacon Hill after school program in 2016;
Opened one of only three fenced-in dog parks in the city with parking. Our four-legged friends love this place;
Opened three mini-intermediate soccer fields at Shefford Park behind the main fields, on the opposite side closer to Dominion City Brewing Co.;
Ken Steele Park football bunker. This is great news for the North Gloucester Giants;
Advocating for police background checks to be moved online now allows volunteers and professionals to be vetted efficiently;
The Pineview Community Hub. Initially, the Pineview Community Association (PCA) was only looking for a room to call their own because it did not have a gathering place. I took it one step further and was able to secure the facility and have renovations done. I also created a funding agreement for the PCA;
The Road Conditions app. I was the one who pushed and worked with the City to announce and list upcoming construction projects online.

2018- 2022

Quarry Park play structure;
New Elmridge Park splash pad;
St. John Paul II Pedestrian Crossover;
Quincy Avenue and Briarcliffe Road resurfaced;
Blair Road widening. A sidewalk dedicated to cycling and bus lanes was installed, as well as full stop lights at Beaverpond Drive and Blair Road;
Widening Jasmine Crescent; fixed street parking situation in 2023;
New Multiuse Pathway connectivity between stations near LRT station, Cyrville Road, Blair Road and Montreal Road;
Working with the community to see the Beacon Hill Community Garden Network – Jaide Bern, ELizabeth Joly and Jane Hubbard;
Solar charging stations for devices (not cars) at Meadowbrook Park and Eastvale Park;
Dog park lights;
Beacon Hill Community Centre renovations and expansion;
Installation of the Ken Steel Football bunker;
Scoreboard supporting Giants football;
Whiterock Park Lifecycle: The renewal includes the removal and replacement of the play structures, the installation of engineered wood fiber fall surface and the repair and replacement of the asphalt pathways. The play area is universally accessible and includes accessible play features;
Cyrville Park pirate-themed splash pad;
Davidson Drive resurfacing;
Ogilvie Road resurfacing – Montreal Road to the river;
Shefford Road resurfacing – Montreal Road to the river;
Shefford Park – dog park lights;
Shefford Park – dog park bench installed;
Pedestrian Crossover on Matheson Road connecting Huntington pathway to Whiterock Park;
Speed reduction on Naskapi Drive (Permanent traffic calming study underway);
10 years of the Celebrate Summer Fair. Every year the community is invited to the summer kick-off event that features local entertainment, food and rides;
Realignment of Eastvale Drive and Ogilvie Road;
I work very closely with small businesses in the community because they employ people and bring vibrancy to the community. For example, Dominion City Brewing Co., Almanac Urban Mill and Bakery, Pearson Street, Salon Unique and Barbershop, Cuppa Chico and many more. These businesses have encountered challenges with the City, and I assisted them in navigating those challenges to ensure their success so they can contribute back to our community;
Gloucester 50+ membership drive. The Gloucester 50+ Centre offers a variety of activities, special events, outings and more for seniors 50 years of age and over.

2022- 2026

Meadowbrook Road and Dondale Street Pedestrian Crossing;
Kinsmen Park renewal at 27 Elvina St.: Proposal for new play equipment to replace existing play equipment. The project falls under the Lifecycle Replacement program;
Resurfacing of Émard Crescent, Hamelin Crescent and De Salaberry Street;
La Vérendrye Park renewal at 625 La Vérendrye Dr.: Proposal to replace existing junior play equipment. The project falls under the Lifecycle Replacement program;
Pineview Pathway resurfacing and lighting from Stonehenge Crescent to Blair Station (2025);
Added four OC Transpo daytime runs to route 26;
Gailea Momolu Skateboard Park – sign and illustrations;
Council approved an amendment I brought forward directing the City to actively seek locations for park-and-ride facilities inside the Greenbelt, with work now underway on a potential paid park-and-ride near Blair Station;
Dog park water fountain coming soon (spring 2026);
Leigh Crescent and Bathgate Drive crossover (spring 2026).

Pineview and Woodburn Tennis Courts with detailed design to be completed in 2026, with construction planned for 2027.

Resurfacing

Bathgate Drive from Ogilvie Road (OR 50) to Plumber Avenue is included in the 2026 Draft Budget ($1.2M), subject to Council approval. Resurfacing is planned for 2026;
Jasmine Crescent from Ogilvie Road (OR 50) (S) to Ogilvie Road (OR 50) (N) is included in the 2026 Draft Budget ($1.1M), subject to Council approval. Resurfacing is planned for 2026;
Ogilvie Road from Aviation Parkway to City Park is included in the 2026 Draft Budget ($2.5M), subject to Council approval. Resurfacing is planned for 2026.
