We’ve taken steps to better identify the worst areas and prioritize repairs, but identifying the problem isn’t enough. We need to fix it properly. That means doing the job right the first time, not just filling the same potholes over and over again.

Infrastructure affects every part of daily life. It impacts how safely people walk to school, travel to work, access local businesses, and move through their neighbourhoods. Well-maintained roads and sidewalks also make our communities safer and more accessible for seniors, families, pedestrians, cyclists, and people with mobility challenges.
